
Paula Rose Parish is an author, and the founder, of Hope. Faith. Love.
Paula Rose Parish studied at the University of Derby and received a Master of Arts in Counselling in Professional Development. Over the years Paula Rose has served as a pastor, chaplain, counselor, coach and taught at Christian university, led workshops and retreats, and spoken worldwide on Christian spirituality.
Author of over 100 articles and two books, Paula Rose continues to write on the spiritual life. Paula Rose is adding a string to her bow and is presently reading Health and Wellness. She has four grown children, five grandchildren, and lives in South Wales, UK.
Paula Rose serves as an ordained minister, blogger, podcaster, course creator, published author. She has a Master of Arts in Counselling and many other qualifications and a lifetime so, I have heaps to share with you.
Past Experiences
Education: Secondary Education 1970: Kidman Park High School for Girls, Kidman Park, Adelaide, Australia, without completing the first year- no qualifications earned, at the age of 15yrs.
1976: returned to Kidman Park High School for Girls, entered year 11, certificate successfully completed.
General Higher Education
2000-2002: Westminster College Cambridge, UK, CTM.
2009: Master of Art the discipline of Social Science, with merit, from the University of Derby, UK, facility of health and sciences, in Counselling in Professional Development, dissertation on Spiritual Abuse within the Judaeo Christian Tradition: Implications for counseling practice.
2011: studied part-time 3 years of a 6-year course in Ph.D., with The University of Derby, UK, facility of health and sciences, research in my own time, Spiritual Abuse: Understanding the Lived Experience. Due to health reasons within my family, I could not complete this course.
1975: completed a four-year apprenticeship from the Department of Further Education South Australia, completing the required course in Ladies Hairdressing and passed the subjects of Trade Practice and Trade Theory. o 1977: while working in a training hospital I passed the South Australian Nurse Board Examination for Enrolled Nursing.
1992: Tulsa Junior College, USA, in elementary Spanish Communication and passed the oral and written exam.
1978: attended Bible college for a 26week discipleship course, Australia.
1994: Bachelor of Arts of Theology, USA
2000-02: Westminster College Cambridge: satisfied the board of requirements.
Education for Ministry 3: Conflict Resolution, numerous in-house synod training meetings on various subjects. On-going university training.
Work Experience
1976: Owner/manager of West Beach Beauty Salon, Adelaide South Australia.
1977-1989: Studied and was awarded a certificate in Enrolled nursing in Adelaide, South Australia, and worked in various hospitals e.g., a maternity unit, general unit, surgical unit, hospital for the incurable physical and mental diseases, elderly, and end of life care. After theological training Ordained as a Pastor.
1989-1994: Worked in the United States of America as a Minister with Harvest International Ministries. Minister of a church and administering an under-graduate Vision Bible School by a supervisory leader. I was the principal Lecturer Deputy Principle.
1994: Came Back to the UK.
1995-2000: Team Leader for Social Services at Place Court Residential Home for Alzheimer’s patients and the elderly, Suffolk, and later a Peripatetic Team Leader for the home team care, Suffolk County Council.
.2002 – Led a group of seven Churches. During this time, I served as NHS Chaplain to Mansfield Community Hospital. Millbrook Mental Health Unit, King’s Mill Hospital, Ashfield Community Hospital, and John Eastwood Hospice Trust.
2008 – Inducted as full-time Minister Grimsby. During this time, I served as NHS Chaplain to Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.
2011 – to present. Ecumenical Minister Serving 6 churches, and local communities.
